Celebrated Halloween in the Center of the City’s Greenest Space
A Fantastic "Green" Halloween Ball
Central Park Conservancy
Picture an eerie mystical environment drenched in acid-like green light and filled with hidden treasures, much like The Park itself! Led by Chairs and Committee members, including Patsy and Jeff Tarr, Gillian and Sylvester Miniter, Liz and Jeff Peek, John Stossel, Judy and John Angelo, Kristy and Jonathan Korngold, Julie Wurts, Kipton Cronkite and Amy Tarr as well as CPC President Doug Blonsky, Chairman of the Board Thomas L. Kempner, NYC Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, over 500 creatively costumed guests parade into a tented atmosphere. They feel like they are traversing a path through Central Park’s Ramble, dripping with branches and vines. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres iare enjoyed in a fog pierced with mystical lighting, engulfed in black and spider webs. Grand wrought iron gates frame the secret passage leads into the magical dinner and dancing area, with massive weeping willow trees and projections of trees filing the air. Hidden mythical creatures enhance the dance floor, which feels like a murky swamp. Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events created the mouth-watering dinner menu. A team of celebrity judges led by fashion designer Richie Rich review the costumes. Fabulous prizes include luxurious stays in the romantic Surrey hotel. Fine wines are generously provided by HobNob. Tickets begin at $400 for Juniors and $1,000 for Adults, contact the events department at the Conservancy at 212-310-6619 or RSVPevent@centralparknyc.org.
