| Last Thursday, the Neue Gallerie along with the Humane Society hosted a holiday benefit party where both two and four-legged friends of the museum enjoyed an evening of art, cocktails, and shopping. Guests included Josh Bernstein, Lily Snyder, Keren Craig of Marchesa, Agnes Gund, Tim Goossens of PS-1, Albert Trummer, owner of Apotheke, Valerie Feigen and Alissa Emerson of EDIT Boutique, Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian, Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos of Shipley-Halmos. If you haven’t been to the Neue Galerie yet, then go. Ronald Lauder’s museum for German and Austrian Expressionist art is located on Fifth Avenue and 86th Street and is not to be missed. But, if you don’t have time for a full day of art-gazing, at least stop in the museum design shop, which is the home of the Neue Hund line – luxury dog products based on the craftsmanship of the Bauhaus and the Wiener Werkstatte. The concept is the brainchild of Renee Price, the Neue Galerie’s director, a true dog enthusiast and proud owner of Milly von Barksky, the Miniature Schauzer whom was the guest of honor at the event. The line features truly unique and special gift ideas for the dog or the dog-lover in your life. All proceeds from the retail shop go to the museum’s programming. |
