SAKS FIFTH AVENUE: KEY TO THE CURE

by Wendy Lerman

This week, Saks Fifth Avenue launched the 2009 KEY TO THE CURE campaign. Breast Cancer Research Foundation Founder Evelyn Lauder and Saks Fifth Avenue Chairman Steve Sadove hosted an intimate luncheon on Wednesday to kick-off the annual shopping event. Guests included: Becki Newton, Emmy Rossum, Sela Ward, Annelise Peterson, Olivia Chantecaille, Lizzie Tisch, Jennifer Creel, Deborah Roberts, Jamee Gregory, Lauren Bush, Lauren Remington Platt, and Charlotte Ronson.

The 2009 KEY TO THE CURE shopping event runs through October 18th. All Saks stores nationwide will donate 2% of sales to local women’s cancer charities.

Heidi Klum, Saks Fifth Avenue's 2009 Key To the Cure Ambassador, in the limited edition Michael Kors T-shirt ... Spotted: Blake Lively shopping for a cause at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Myra Biblowit, Evelyn Lauder, and Suzy Johnson ... Emmy Rossum and Becki Newton.

While you are shopping, pick up the limited edition T-shirt designed by Michael Kors as seen pictured on this year’s KEY TO THE CURE ambassador, Heidi Klum. It’s adorable, it’s only $40 and 80% of the proceeds go to local women’s cancer charities. I’m headed to Saks tomorrow to pick one up for both me and my mom.

And if this wonderful cause isn’t reason enough to brave the cold and wet weather we’re expecting this weekend, than maybe this is: Saks Friends and Family 25% off sale is this weekend! So slip on your wellies and head to Fifth Avenue ... or better yet, stay in your PJs and go to saks.com and use the code FRIENDS3 (and yes, both Friends and Family and KEY TO THE CURE apply online as well).

Clockwise from top left: Sela Ward, Suzy Johnson, Steve Sadove, and Evelyn Lauder; Anne Grauso; Jennifer Creel; Jamee Gregory and Steve Sadove; Charlotte Ronson; Annelise Peterson and Leslie Schulhof.
