Fashion Going to the Dogs

| This past Monday, Wendy Diamond and Animal Fair Magazine hosted the 10th annual Paws for Style event benefiting the Humane Society of New York. The highlight from the night’s fashion show, was watching the celebrity pets and adoptable dogs from the Humane Society sporting one-of-a-kind doggie designs by Keith Lissner, Nina Ricci, Richie Rich, and Marc Bouwer. Strutting their stuff on the catwalk with their adorable dogs in tow were: Dancing with the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff, Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer, Sports Illustrated model, Jessica Hart, Frances Hayward, Sara Gore, Valerie Diker, Anne Craig, 'America’s Next Top Model' winner Jaslene Gonzalez and New York City’s Ballet’s Tom Gold. The evening ended with American Idol contestant, Jamar Rogers serenading hostess and Animal Fair editor-in-chief, Wendy Diamond’s adopted pet, Lucky. While I must admit that the celebrity dog walkers definitely seemed to enjoy the limelight more than their k-9 counterparts, I am happy to report there were no accidents nor Fashion Faux Paws at this feel-good charitable event. |
