The guest list included Mortimer’s Oscar-winning screenwriter and director husband, Stephen Gaghan, Amanda Hearst, Lauren and Andres Santo Domingo, Annelise Peterson, Helen Lee Schifter, Kelly Bensimon, Bettina Zilkha, Alex Kramer, Susan Shin, Rebecca Guiness, Marie Claire’s Nina Garcia, Prada USA CEO Graziano de Boni, and the Cinema Society’s Andrew Saffir. You can see Mortimer’s clothing line on www.minniemortimer.com. The collection is small and only available in about 25 boutiques nationwide so far. All the pieces are well-priced and perfect for summer. The collection has a nautical theme – which probably comes from growing up by the water spending time between Manhattan, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach ... and now Malibu. Another major influence on her collection is her family. Minnie named a sweet checked dress after her sister-in-law Tinsley. How’s that for keeping it all in the family? |

| Another favorite New York family was out in full force last week. David Yurman held his Annual Summer Rooftop Party at their corporate offices in Tribecca. The “Sunset Over the Hudson” of course featured gorgeous jewelry pieces but the whole family also sported their newest accessory line: David Yurman Sunglasses. |

| While being a part of the Vanderbilt Family is usually a blessing, one thing all the media outlets agreed upon this week, “We’re sympathizing with CNN anchor, Anderson Cooper.” Why? Because his 85 year-old mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, has come out with a new book: Obsession: An Erotic Tale. The book was celebrated last week at Diane Von Furstenberg’s Meatpacking boutique. DVF was there along with Barbara Walters, and Liz Smith. “It’s very, very, very, very erotic,” according to von Furstenberg. And we are “very, very, very, very sorry again, Anderson Cooper.” |
