Haute Contour for your Haute Couture

If you ever browse the Party Pictures pages on NYSD, then you know how important Haute Couture is. If you happen to grace these pages, then you know it’s even more important that you have your Spanx on underneath.

This past Thursday night, Sara Blakely, Founder of Spanx Inc., celebrated the launch of her new line, Haute Contour by Spanx. Haute Contour is a sumptuous collection of lingerie-inspired looks designed to shape and enhance one’s body. Like the original Spanx we all love, they do wonders for your figure, but these pieces are truly wearable and beautiful and don’t need to hide in the back of your drawer, or under your evening gown for that matter.

The event was held in the lingerie department at Saks Fifth Avenue, where a large and elegantly appointed section is devoted to Sara’s newest creations. Champagne and an array of delicious looking desserts were passed while the crowd gawked at the models (“Those are actually Spanx?!”). So go ahead, have a puff pastry or two…just as long as you are wearing a pair of Spanx, nobody will ever notice.
