Powerful You in the Workplace

Lois Barth, trans-FUN-mational Speaker and Coach and Confidence Expert, Dr. Sharon Beth Melnick, Coach and Speaker, launched a new series of workshops called “Powerful You in the Workplace” at the New York Carlisle and Per Se Showroom, 16 East 52nd Street.

Dr. Melnick has 10 years of research at Harvard Medical School and has trained in cutting edge stress resilience techniques. Ms. Barth, a Health Practioner as well as a licensed Life Coach, believes: "Shift Happens ... but only if you Happen to know how to Shift."

“People learn best in an environment that is upbeat, creative and fun,” Barth said. By creating a “laugh and learn” atmosphere with the group, Melnick and Barth facilitated interactive exercises, provided easy-to-apply tips as well as integrated foundational techniques. The range of topics included “How to build confidence and reputation by ‘being the DJ of your own mental iPod’ to “How to speak ‘testosterone talk,’” in other words, navigating the male/female communication divide.

After the workshop, Leena Gurevich, the fashion house Showroom Director, demonstrated the essence of the Carlisle brand; empowering women to look and feel the best they can, at any age and at any stage. Barth and Melnick in their Carlisle “Powerful You Suits” served as great examples.

The packed audience included women leaders in finance, travel, real estate, non-profit and empowerment. In addition to wine and hors d’oeuvres, there was a tour of the showroom and a "shopping spree" raffle offered by the Carlisle group.
