| Photographs by Richard Lewin Elizabeth Arden welcomed guests to their multi-level, Fifth Avenue Salon and Red Door Spa for an evening of "Beauty, Harmony, and Well Being.” The event was arranged in collaboration with GLOW Beauty Magazine’s publisher Anne Akers. The all important fashion element was provided by the Carlisle and PerSe Collections. Arden/Red Door’s Raha Ashrafi and Lisa Hagen moderated the evening. The theme was how to look beautiful at any age and how to stay that way! A point that was emphasized during the evening was the proper way to care for oneself, skin, hair, body and diet. The spa’s Creative Officer Cornelia Zicu traced the roots of European skincare back to her Rumanian heritage. Dr. Fran Gare, Clinical Nutritionist and Naturopathic Physician, author and media personality, discussed the curse of sugar and the benefits of a balanced diet. Adam Zickerman, founder of Inform Fitness and author of The New York Times' best-seller, Power of 10, explored the need for consistent and non-exhausting exercise. |

| The evening ended with a special fashion show presented by Leena Gurevich, Showroom Director of the Carlise/PerSe Collections penthouse showroom on East 52nd Street. To re-enforce the theme of the evening — looking good at any age — the models were a cross section of ages and body types. The standing room only audience included physicians, fashionistas, leaders in the beauty, health, and wellness industry and friends. There was a tour of the facility, wine, hors d'oeuvres, and a "shopping spree" raffled by the Carlisle group. Among those enjoying the evening were Caroline Bowen, Dr. Elliot Jacobs, Sharon Marantz Walsh, Georgia and Dr. Gerry Curatola, Marsha Edelman, Sue Phillips, Gary Scarano, Alexis Fedor, Suzanne Manning, Koko Lance, Marcia Turner, Herve Merlino, Leah Tehrani, Stuart Sussman, Don Klein, Sabine Ohler, Jane Curasco, Deborah Castillero, Reyn Rossington, Andrea Nierenberg, Elizabeth Areson, Lauren Krauss, Gloria Woertz, Peggy Shanks, Sandra Mintz, Lynn Butler, Marjorie Wolfe, Inga Pross, Sebastian Duignan, Denise Poppa, Elizabeth Baggs, Elise Merhige, and Judy Klebanow. |
