A Va Va Voom Birthday Party

Leena Gurevich, Anne Akers and Glow Beauty Magazine threw a birthday party for their friend Dr. Fran Gare, a Manhattan based clinical nutritionist and naturopathic physician. The celebration was at New York’s Carlisle and Per Se penthouse showroom on East 52nd Street. Dr. Gare is also a best selling author and co-author of health, diet and recipe books.

Because it was a special birthday, the party was dubbed an ‘Evening of Transformations.’ In the past year Dr. Gare lost a 100 pounds. She continued the makeover with the help of a team of experts. First, she underwent body-contouring procedures with Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kevin Tehrani. Then, she pursued a serious exercise regimen designed by Inform Fitness founder Adam Zickerman.

Dr. Gare introduced her new look with a stunning red ensemble from the Carlisle Collection. When she entered the party the musician played “The Lady In Red” making it a truly Va Va Voom birthday.

Helping Fran celebrate with tributes and toasts were Sharon Marantz Walsh, Tom Litwin, Victor Seitles, Suzanne Gorbady, Barbara Sloat, Toni Schowalter Delerieve, Lourdes Santiago, Shirley Tronn, Eileen Kaminsky, Sabine Ohler, Theresa Pinson, Marlene Rosenthal, and vocalist Leah Tehrani, who sang “With One Look” from Sunset Boulevard and “I Could Have Danced All Night” from My Fair Lady.
