MAD Bidding

Barbara Tober (in red) amongst a bevy of silent auction bidders.

This past Tuesday night at the Mandarin Oriental, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) hosted its Visionaries 2010! Gala, celebrating Seth Glickenhaus, George Beylerian, Dan Doctoroff, and Janet Nkubana and Joy Ndungutse for lifetime achievement and contributions to the arts, design, and education.

The silent auction was especially interesting as silent auctions go at galas because these items are all works by artists who show in this unique and fascinating museum. The objects are significant not only for their beauty but for their quality of fascination. See for yourself ...
