| J. McLaughlin recently opened a smart new boutique on the northwest corner of 72nd Street and Lexington Avenue. Jay and Joan McLaughlin, along with Kevin and Barbara McLaughlin, Steve and Cecy Siegler hosted a fabulous night celebration the new locations: two new cozy preppy-meets-contemporary women’s and men’s shops. Among those attending, braving the inclement weather: Liliana Cavendish, Jay and Joan McLaughlin’s family, John, Julie and Chris McLaughlin, along with (in J. McLaughlin); Milly de Cabrol, Liz Lange, Georgina Schaeffer, Elziabeth Peabody, George Farias, Jeff Poldolsky, Jane Wagman, Amy Mazzola Flynn and daughter Christina, Muffie Potter Aston. |

| In case you missed it: Istanbul based jeweler Gilan and Maggie Norris Couture saluted the Couture Council of The Museum at FIT during Friday’s Fashion’s Night Out at Gilan’s 5th Avenue store. The party was hosted by The Museum at FIT’s Chief Curator and Director Valerie Steele, Michele Gerber Klein, Somers Farkas, Liz Peek, Whitney Wolfe, Gillian Hearst Simonds, Maggie Norris and Gilan’s North American Ambassador Samir Tahan. |

| The Merrill Lynch sponsored night was attended by Lucca & Co’s Lisa Jackson, Couture Council Board Member Jean Shafiroff, Timothy John, Lauren Ezersky, attorneys Mark W. Smith, Salvatore Strazzullo and William Beslow, Gaetana Enders, Elaine Sargent, Dr. Robert Grant, Susan Malick, Dr. Kevin Plancher, Patricia Shiah, Dr. Michael Kraus, Sohair Soukkary, John Wessels, Susan Winters and Patrick McDonald. The event featured paintings and illustrations of Gilan Jewelry and Maggie Norris Couture from premiere contemporary artists Anna Kiper, Audrey Schilt and Nelson Shanks as well as couture designs and jewelry worn by stunning models including Miss Massachusetts 2009 Alison Cronin, actress Sarah Bradford, Cindy Guyer and Princess Keisha Omilana. The featured artwork was on display in the Gilan store and 10 percent of the proceeds from all jewelry purchases was donated to the Couture Council through the following week. |
