Fashion for Fall 2010 was heating up in Atlanta

| Atlanta was heating up over the Fall 2010 fashion this past week, and it wasn’t just the 100 degree weather. There were women were running around in summer attire. There was also another group that gathered privately for a glimpse of the crisp fall that lies head. These women were taking in the “Sister Act!” Carlisle and Per Se’s fall collections trunk show. The focus was on what’s new, what’s now and what’s next! In addition, the women took a look at what’s a must this season that also has the potential to be timeless. The event drew a crowd in Buckhead, where Duvall Fuqua, Mimi Woodruff, Caroline Finnerty, and Duvall’s sister and New York-based Per Se Collection spokeswoman Frances Schultz welcomed a bouquet of Southern belles for a sip of wine and a bit of dress-up. |

| Fur was flying — as was beautiful cashmere and mohair. A new take on plaid was a far cry from the highlands, the look being much more Parisian than prep. Camel and houndstooth checks were big, as were luscious shades of aubergine, chocolate, charcoal and loden. Crisp and snappy techno fabrics also made appearances, as did luxe animal prints, which seem to have become staples of the fashionable American woman.
