Fall Fashion is in High Gear at Carlisle/Per Se's Showroom on Greenwich Avenue

On July 27th, 35 women gathered together to view the Fall Collections at the Carlisle/Per Se's Showroom on Greenwich Avenue. This wasn't your regular runway -- this time there were two models from the YWCA of Greenwich.

Decked out in the latest and greatest must-haves, Diane Davol and Nicole Velaj joined two professional models on the catwalk as Per Se designer Susan Klope discussed the vision behind her latest collection, the intricacies of each outfit and its statement for the season.

She pointed out that smart investments women can make this season include:

• A piece with color blocking, as seen in dresses and smart jackets;

• Sweater dressing that's bordering on couture, with dresses and jackets that can go from casual to dressy;

• Plus power-play toppers that transform jackets into style statements over leggings;

• The use of plaid in an edgy, sophisticated manner that is much more Paris than prep, as seen in skirts, dresses and blouses;

• Glove leather jackets that are reversible and change the name of the game for the office suit when paired with a skirt;

• And then there is the  "it dress" with a twist, whether it's a retro-feeling red dress with a garbo-draped shoulder or a new take on the little black dress with our sleeveless, shimmering silk, ribbon-pleated, satin bow belted dress that's all shine.

The guests were all supporters of either the YWCA of Greenwich or Liberation Programs. They attended knowing that 20% from their purchases between July 27th and August 27th will go directly to support either the YWCA's Domestic Abuse Services Program or the Liberation Programs' Families in Recovery Program.

The YWCA's Domestic Abuse Services program is run by volunteers and services the community by providing safety, support and friendship for women and children in harms way. The Families in Recovery program is a live-in residential program where mothers and their children, as well as pregnant women, can get the support they need to be free of addiction so they can restore their lives.

The Carlisle/Per Se fashion benefit was created to raise money to help both programs better serve their communities and strengthen the support for families in Connecticut.
