| Luxury Italian menswear brand Isaia hosted their now annual summer soire last week for 350 of their favorite fashion industry insiders. In the mix were retail executives, VIP clientele, socialites and celebrities including Elaine Wynn, Jason Binn, Gianluca Isaia, Laura Poretzky, Mariah Chase, Julian Steinberg, Julia Moore, Derrill Osborn, Marquis Jets Ken Austin, Mario Biso, Publisher Steve De Luca, and Isaia's US President Jim Shay.  Event designer Bryan Johnson transported guests to a scene out of the movie "La Dolce Vita" with authentic Italian cuisine from Sirio Maccioni's Osteria Del Circo, imported lemon trees, vintage gelato carts and fabulous Neopolitan inspired decor, all of which played out on ISAIA's massive 3,000 square foot terrace overlooking the Manhattan skyline. |

| Around dusk emerging rock star Diego Garcia and his band (following recent gigs for Karl Lagerfeld and Princess Michael of Kent) serenaded guests with his new single "You Were Never There," which if you weren't, better luck next year! One remarkable aspect of this party, basically an industry party, although perhaps not surprising, was the high level of fashion and style. The shine on the men’s shoes said it all. |
