Jeweler Nikki Sedacca Sets Up Shop on Martha’s Vineyard for the Summer

Why not head to Martha’s Vineyard this summer? It sounds like a kind of paradise to me: pristine beaches, quaint little towns, fun people and shopping. Did you know that Steven Spielberg filmed the movie Jaws there or that John Belushi is buried there or that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis maintained a home there until her death in 1994?

NYSD’s Shopping Diary friend Nikki Sedacca has moved there for the summer. Nikki is a very special jewelry designer and the natural beauty of the Vineyard is a perfect stimulus for her creativity. She has always been fascinated by the shapes, textures, colors and beauty of the world around her.

Nikki’s shop Optional Art is on 7 Winter Street in the Island’s largest village, Edgartown. She is featuring her new summer collection as well as the fabulous collections of many other jewelry artists, including Steven Anton Rehage, Rene Escobar, Michael Sugarman and Argento Vivo. There are designer receptions scheduled for every weekend from now through the end of August. We are all invited to indulge our senses with beautiful jewels!

It’s not exactly easy to get to Martha’s Vineyard, however. You have to take a boat from Cape Cod or Rhode Island or fly there in a private plane or via Cape Air or US Airways.

So if you can’t make it or to whet your appetite, stop in next door at the Shopping Diary: Nikki Sedacca!.

The Shopping Diary will lead you to Nikki’s website Sedacca.com!.
