Kick Kennedy celebrated her 22nd birthday with her dad Bobby Kennedy, sister Kyra Kennedy and friends at Calypso St. Barth on Hudson Street. The fete was to welcome Kick as Fashionably Conscious Editor of What2WearWhere.com (W2WW) and to announce Project Green Chic, an eco initiative on the digital boutique and blog that helps today's women dress for all of life's events, sports and travel.

Kick grew up with a love and understanding of nature and has since forged her own way as a dynamic environmentalist. She is an active advocate for Riverkeeper, the organization dedicated to the protection and the ecological integrity of the Hudson River and its tributaries, and to the safeguarding of the drinking water supply of New York City and the lower Hudson Valley.

Recently, Kick climbed Mt. Kiliminjaro with a high profile group called Summit on the Summit to raise awareness of the global water crisis, and was also honored by Solar1 as a young environmentalist.

She is a part of a for-profit charity called Legacy Group, partnering with Sara Delano Roosevelt, Consuelo Vanderbilt-Costin, and Ralph Destino Jr. in the development of "The American Family Collection" of women’s apparel.

Karen Klopp, founder of W2WW and long-serving board member of Riverkeeper commented, “I have known Kick since she was a little girl, and it is just wonderful to see the committed and beautiful young woman that she is now.”

Throughout the month of April, to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, W2WW will feature products, fashion and people who have made this planet a more safe and healthy world for all of us. During the month, the site will donate 50% of retail sales through the site to Riverkeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance.
