Plumpy Goes to Swifty’s
Hi! I’m Plumpy, a Teddy Share Bear who loves to dine well at restaurants like the über nifty Swifty’s on the chic Upper East Side. I was there the other night and guess whom I saw? None other than art-maven Charlie Scheips with New York Social Diary’s David Patrick Columbia, who is sort of one of my Godfathers. Also, Margo and John Catsimatidis, who know a thing or two about food. And my creator Sharon Bush, Ashley Bush, Jamee and Peter Gregory, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Blaine and Robert Caravaggi, Pat and Stephen Attoe and music biz legal eagle Jeanne Drewsen with her actress daughter Julie Sharbutt.
I know that as a Teddy Share Bear I am quite popular not only because I am cute, but because I’m a do-gooder, this time helping malnourished children in East Africa. I’m 16 inches tall. My little brother Nut is 8 inches tall. Every time someone buys me (or a facsimile), I feed five children and Nut feeds three. You see, we are collaborating with FEED Projects, which was started in 2006 by Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson. They have raised $5 million for school feeding programs around the world.
They use Plumpy'nut®, a ready-to-use therapeutic food proven to treat severe acute malnutrition with astounding success rates. By the way, I am made from organic cotton and burlap, So, if you want our companionship and to help FEED the world, go to our website below or just visit our NYSD Shopping Diary store next door.
PS. If you take me along, you’ll probably get a better table at Swifty’s.
PSS. Pay no attention to that “Sold Out” sign on our website because we are available NOW.
