Hermes, Pratesi, and Stark ... Oh My!

by Wendy Lerman

The Stark Carpet Warehouse Sale at The Metropolitan Pavilion, where you'll find area rugs, carpet, broadloom, and remnants as well as sheets, robes, and pillows, and more.

Take a long lunch break, feign the flu, schedule a “dentist appointment” ... do whatever you have to do but just get yourself down to the Metropolitan Pavilion asap. Hermes is having a Spring Sample Sale.

You’ll find home goods, men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, leather goods, and of course scarves and ties galore at up to 60% off retail. Yesterday was a special (and super strict!) Preview Day for VIP shoppers. Those lucky enough to be on the list were able to avoid today’s lines and get first dibs. Everyone was snatching up the handbags like it was a T-shirt sale at H&M. But fear not, they are restocking daily and restricting customers to a 5-10 item limit.

A lucky shopper sneaking out of the Hermes Spring Sample Sale.
Wednesday, March 24th, 12:15 PM: As one would expect, the lines are LONG, so if patience isn' t your strong point, you might just have to pass.

While you are there, do not skip over the Stark Carpet Warehouse Sale. It’s on the ground floor, right next door, and you will see the sign. Stark along with Kravet, Scalamandre, Holland & Sherry, and Pratesi have come together for this outrageous sale.

Probably easier to navigate with your designer or decorator, you’ll find area rugs, carpet, broadloom, and remnants as well as sheets, robes, and pillows at up to 75% off. Don’t underestimate the importance of fashion for your home – after all, there’s no place like it. Here's a sneak peek ...
