| Between the massive amount of snow and all things Fall 2010 (a la New York Fashion Week) I forgot that spring is almost here. Almost. I got a nice reminder via an invitation to Clarins Spring 2010 Skincare Preview and was excited that there will be a time in the near future that I’ll be tan and can actually wear colors and open-toed shoes again. I headed up to 80th and Madison, and of course couldn’t help doing a little window-shopping on the avenue. More reminders that spring is around the corner. |

| The Clarins event was filled with mostly beauty editors and bloggers. There were drinks and light snacks and gift bags filled with Clarins loot from their new collection. We sat down and learned all about Clarins philosophy on skincare and saw demonstrations of their newest products. What was most interesting to me was the new Delectable Self Tanning Mousse ($42). First, I must admit that I’ve never actually used a self-tanner – but I felt inspired to after the presentation. This one is particularly revolutionary — it has SPF 15, is actually healthy and moisturizing for the skin and smells well, delectable. |

| If you are worried about streaks or want a guaranteed flawless tan for an event, make an appointment at a Clarins Skin Spa for the Self Tanner Body Treatment. It includes an exfoliation (always good before self-tanning), massage and self tanner application for the face and body. They did a demonstration, and besides giving you that tan glow, getting the treatment seemed almost as relaxing as a few hours on the beach. Almost. |
